This 1880s Oak Park home had so much of what we love most: good bones, plenty of history, and a family ready to make it work better. After decades of wear, the bathrooms and laundry room were ready for a serious rethink for the way people take care of themselves — and the laundry — today.

We were thrilled to update three bathrooms and create a completely bespoke laundry room, bringing much-needed function, storage, and personality to some of the home’s hardest-working spaces. Traditional architectural details keep the rooms connected to the house’s history. To balance tradition with present-day personalities, playful tile, saturated color, custom cabinetry, and a few unexpected moments give everything a fresh, fun point of view. The result is a home that honors from whence it came, all while making everyday life a whole lot better.

The Grove Queen Anne

“Our house was ugly, outdated, broken, and non-functional. The laundry room was a disorganized nightmare – I dreaded doing laundry! Now my favorite part of our new space is the laundry room – it's a pleasure to do laundry now! Each space has been completed both beautifully and functionally.”
