A dining room and living room needed an unapologetically fresh point of view in this century-old home.
Muted sage walls and two deep olive velvet sofas set the stage for a conversation zone in a living room designed to be lingered in. Pattern, color, rugs, walls, and pillows come together in a collected mix that embraces the idea that nothing has to match—but everything should belong.
In the dining room, the saturation turns up the volume. Plum velvet invites guests to take a seat and bring a point of view, gathered around a statement chandelier. Peacock-toned walls are paired with gorgeous sage-green, nature-inspired window treatments, creating a space that feels both dramatic and deeply inviting. Together, the rooms tell a jewel-toned color story, layered with distinctive furnishings and unexpected combinations. The result is welcoming yet intriguing, fresh yet timeless, and perfectly at home in a century-old house.
