A Frank Lloyd Wright house comes with a pretty strong personality. Our job was less about changing it and more about figuring out how to make room for this family. The first floor needed a rethink, from the living and dining rooms to the everyday spaces that do the heavy lifting of family life. We reshaped layouts, refined the furnishings and lighting, and layered in pattern and collected pieces to make the rooms feel more personal and more livable.

The fun part was finding the balance. The original millwork and architectural details were never going anywhere, nor should they. Instead, we took our cues from them—repeating shapes, echoing proportions, and choosing materials that feel right for the house without making it feel like a time capsule.

The result is a home that still feels unmistakably Wright, but now feels unmistakably theirs, too. Collected rather than overly decorated, considered without feeling precious, and ready for real family life. Because even a house with this much architectural pedigree should still know how to relax.
